Home for Mustafa, an ethnic Tatar, means Crimea and it is where he wants to bury his soldier son, killed in battle. Thus begins a difficult, dangerous and emotional road trip from Kiev to Crimea in this powerful debut feature by a young Ukrainian director/screenwriter of Tatar origin.

 

 

Homeward, a film by director and screenwriter Nariman Aliev is being screened by the Silkscreen Film Society at the Macclesfield's historic Old Sunday School (The Herritage Centre, Roe Street, Macclesfield, SK11 6UT ) on Wednesday 13 November 2024.  There will be two screenings at 5:30pm and at 08:00pm. Admittion charge £5.00.
