This policy sets out Refugees Welcome’s policy in relation to the maintenance of confidentiality and data sharing.

Critical Incident Policy

A Critical Incident is any occurrence involving a volunteer or beneficiary of Refugees Welcome which has the potential to impact the health, well-being, quality of life or reputation of a person, family or Refugees Welcome as an organisation.

Refugees Welcome is committed to the principle of equality of opportunity and diversity and recognizes that Trustees, Contractors, advisors and volunteers, or service users should not experience discrimination on any grounds.

Lone Working Policy and procedure

Refugees Welcome recognizes the responsibility it has to its trustees, advisors, contractors and volunteers under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and the provisions of the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999 to provide policy and procedures for Lone Working.

This policy refers to all activities undertaken by Refugee Welcome as an organization with regard to all financial matters: Cheshire East Council funded contracts, funds of project groups and general fundraising for the purposes of the running of the organization.

REFUGEES WELCOME aims to ensure that the service it provides is professional, friendly, effective and participative.
We welcome feedback on the service we provide and suggestions and comments for improvement as an opportunity to learn and improve for the future, as well as a chance to put things right for the individual/s who have made the complaint.

Managing and Reporting Sensitive Cases for Children and Young People and Vulnerable Adults

Sensitive cases are defined as any incidents involving members of a resettled

family as a victim, perpetrator or observer, where the outcome or consequence is

likely to result in:

• Serious harm to any individual or group.

• Significant impact on a community.
